info for Raleigh and Rocky Mount nc

I want to know if anybody know of a place/person that I could rent or get a truck to take my road test. I have class a with the #8 rest. no tractor trailer.I went to road masters and after a week and a half they told me that they could not get me a job,so then no job they cannt give you your papers for the cdl unless you pay the cash for the class 6500.00..so I dropped out I have some exp. not a whole lot but I do jknow how to drive a tractor and trailer. drove for 3 hours on the road master truck pluse I had a brother in law that had a truck but he passed away about 6 years ago.I have had my license foe 5 years .I have drove bucket trucks with trailers and I have a dump myself.I know it's not a tractor but at road masters I had to do the 150' backing and the alley dock backing not a problem . But I dont want to pay the 6500.00 just to remove the rest. when I can do it for 10.00 at the dmv...why do I want to get my rest. removed, cause I would like to get my own tractor down the road, maybe trade the dump for one,or just get them and find a local job for some extra cash....any help would be great..Thanks
