    Reefer vs dryvan.

Does that mean that I can't pull a reefer trailer on the dryvan side? No, because I've seen it. Sure the routing on the paperwork is different, but overall, saying it's a different company questions why SLC was building reefer trucks a couple of months ago.

And not all places you need to "quit" to switch. Bet you didn't know that!

The two companies are owned by the same parent corp. I'm in the van side and have pulled a reefer trailer. It was a shippers mistake, Frys loaded a dry load into a reefer, pulled it to Albuquerque but had to return it back to Frys m/t. Dry couldn't load any frieght into and we couldn't pull a reefer load.

As far as switching driving from one to the other, you can change divisions as long as you have been driving in your current division for a min of 6 months, have a good service record, and get your terminal manager to okay the transfer. I know because I checked into this.

I've been driving for over 35 years, I've run both dry and reefer, I prefer dry when frieght is moving, but as this economy is getting worst I may move over to reefer. More ######## to put up with reefers but the miles are there.
