Where do you get the flow rating specs for Cat and Fleetguard filters from? I have been trying to find this info for a while.

 

JAS, this particular info came from CAT information release memo when they introduced #256-8753 f/w sep filter for acerts and other high hp apps. inter Co memo from my friend. fleetguard info comes from them. call with part # and they will tell you specs.

 

05379,.. im with pullingtrucker on filters. Cat or fleetguard. all ive used for yrs. working on buddys truck who used baldwin and found red paint peeling off. under paint was fleetguard filter . i think baldwin might be fleetguard seconds. this would explain inconsistent perf ive heard many complain about. just a theory not fact.

next step beyond FS1212 imo would be FASS or DAVCO 382 with 50 mic cartridge . i know of nothing in between. i use DAVCO. restriction is under 1 in and flows 180 gph. more than sufficient for my HP level... hope this helps
