    Hows it going everyone? I've been browsing around here the last couple of weeks and decided I would finally register to say hello and try to be a part of the community, or at least pick your brains :biggrin_25525:.

    I'm fresh out of Driving School, and now that it is time to pick a decent company to drive for my head has started spinning so fast I can't even think straight. My fresh new loan I had to get to pay for school doesn't help my situation either.

    I know I have a lot yet to learn and hope that I can acquire some wisdom from you experienced drivers out there, and eventually be able to pass down some of my future experiences as well.

    Don't get too hopeful on the decent company part but I have a couple of suggestions . You might try Moorman Farms in Owensboro . They have OTR hopper bottoms and are home every weekend . MPW Industrial Services in Rockport always needs CDL drivers . You won't get much over the road with them other than transporting trucks between jobsites and there is a lot of manual labor but there is good chance of advancement . Less than 2 years after starting with them I was a Supervisor with a company pickup .

    I have received pre hires from Werner Enterprises, TMC, Transport America, and CRST. I've been doing some reading on here and from what I've read Transport America seems to be my best bet so far. I've also put an application in for Stevens Transport, but I'm still waiting on a call from them. Seems like all companies have their ups and downs. I just wish I knew my ### from a hole in the ground when it comes to trucking to be able to make the right decision. I'm willing to put the work in, I just hope that the work comes my way.

    Hey and Howdy Jagal! Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join our little piece of ... well OK . What ever company you chose it will do you good to stick it out for at least a year and better if you can stay two years. It will reflect well on you and make getting the next job so much easier.
