Anyone Work For Millis?

Someone needs to get their info straight....I have a female trainer and Im a male and it doesnt bother me one bit. But from what I have been told she does not take female trainers. You could always get a male trainer if it doesnt bother you ???

 

I would actually prefer a male trainer. I think I would listen to a man better than another woman but the impression I got was that they didn't send men and women out together. I'm there to learn and do a job. I'm not looking for a boyfriend or a quickie. Prime told me there was a 6mth to a yr wait for a woman driver and they couldn't help me at this time.( her exact words) I was so shocked by this that I didn't tell her I actually prefer a man. I talked to Watkins Shepard today and they were wonderful. Roxie answered all my questions and was super nice so if my credit app goes through thats who i'll be driving for.

 

I am a male, but I wouldn't care if I had a male or female trainer, whoever would train me correctly and safely.
Now, my ol'lady has a different opinion

 

Yea, I can understand where it might cause a problem if you are married or in a relationship. That may be why they are hesitant to send out women with men and vice versa. No company would want the responsibility of breaking up a marriage but i'm single and I have a professional attitude about this. Driving school is grueling hard work and I don't want to waste all that hard work on a roll in the hay.

 

being a spouse of a truck driver , You have to have trust .If you don't have trust, you have nothing. Thats with any job too,you can have an affair anywhere ,but as I said if you don't have a good relationship to begin with and no trust ,you have nothing.

 

Millis does have at least one woman trainer that I know of ,her name is Jen.

 

I can't remember who I talked to or if she even told me her name but if there was another reason why they turned me down I wish she has just been honest and told me.

 

i have a question can some one please help me out if times are so slow and drivers are only geting around 2100 miles per week why would millis keep having training for new drivers like myself going to the training on 3/2/2009 why not just give the miles to company drivers? just a bit worried about leaving my job and get layed off by millis later. thank all you guys in advance just trying to cover myself before i gave my current job my notice

 

My wife trust me, thats not a problem, she just likes to give me a hard time..

If you have a job, you may want to think twice (or more) about quitting, my understanding, now may not be the best time for trucking. I lost my job (plant closed) and no one is hiring. If you are going to Cartersville on 3/2, I'll see you there

 

millis is still doing training because they have to replace drivers that quit or get fired not only that they are not hiring experieced drivers right now just newbies
