6.5 hours to unload today, not bad. Got the call about halfway through that we're completely swamped and dispatch needs a load picked up from the mine. Who am I to argue with more miles on the week?

Back to the yard, swapped the grain wagons out for a pneumatic and am in Ashern, MB for the night. My queen was disappointed but such is life of a trucker.

Sittin up here east of Springdale Ar. Got a load of plastic water pipe that is ft worth bound in the am. Had dinner with another driver that runs forna 5 truck outfit out of Corsicana and even got offered a seat in short nose Pete like Zevianders. Wish Id of had the offer a month ago lol.

Just 3 more days...

You guys are ruining me!!! I really enjoy the more industrial side of things and I also like more of a challenge! The repetitiveness is kind of getting me down. Although it's a great living and I work for an outstanding outfit...just kind of seeing what's out there.

 

Starting to think I need to trade my W9 for a Volvo.....

Or maybe it's that I need one of them Elog thingy's ? They sure blew my doors off on I-90.

 

So here I go to Jackson,Tn nearly 300 miles one way 300 miles for 4 pallets. Did I mention we have 80 trucks that pass by there daily and could run this instead?

I think I am getting the hang of logistics. Let's see, you need a load hauled from Houston, Tx? I actually have a truck empty in Houston, but let me check with the truck in Kansas first and see when he can get there.
