Gazoo, If you don't have any tire chains, find a flatbedder to let you borrow one of their securements chains. Take that chain and run it through the opening in your rims, both the inside and outside dual, and then bring it around the outside of the tire and hook it to itself as tight as you can. As you tire spins each revolution, that chain will "bite" a little bit each time until hopefully you grab enough momentum to get you moving.

Did you try a higher gear and float the clutch? I have used this method many times and it has worked like a charm. 5th or even 6th gear will walk on ice when 1st or 2nd will just spin.

This has worked for me before once at the Evanston,Wyoming Pilot.
Get a couple gallons of bleach,and SOAK your drive tires!.Lock your differential,let the wheels spin a few seconds and heat up the bleach, put it it in low,and cross your fingers.
If that don't work..You can chain up..
Beats $400.00 on a tow.
Or, buy someone breakfast,help them fix the chains/strap to your truck,(pull)and I'm sure you'll be rolling by 0900.

I highly suggest not using bleach. It will damage the tires and you will lose a lot of tire life. The best way to get out is either the chain through the rim or by slipping the clutch in a higher gear (4th and sometimes 5th). It may take a few tries, but you'll get it out. Just don't shock the drive train a lot, thats what breaks u joints and rear ends.
Just a suggest to erveryone...carry either kitty litter or salt with ya. I was taught that by my old man even before I started driving and carry 2-3 bags all the time in the winter. Trust me it works wonders when you are trying to get under a loaded rgn that is dropped on the ground.dancnoone Thanks this. -
That's why they use it for burn outs. Not only do the tires get hot, they get sticky. Due to the chemical breakdown combined with the heat. -
I thank EVERYONE for their input. But I really want to thank Prestone for a UNFRIGGINBELIEVEABLE product, Driveway Heat.
I sprinkled a handful under each tire, front and back, climbed in my truck, and pulled out like I wasn't even stuck. All it took was half a jug of this concentrated ice melt. THANK YOU PRESTONE!!!! and thanks to my fellow drivers that gave me all the tips and info.

I remember back in the late 60's when I lived in Minneapolis I was stuck at the bottom of a long cement driveway that went up hill in my 1959 Ford Galaxie. The best I could do was 2-3 fet and then no traction. After trying this several times I was standing by my car, and this old guy comes walking down the driveway, looks at my car and then looks at me, then says "just how long have you been driving?" He said that he was getting tired of watching me and hearing my tires spinning. He got down by each of my rear tires, took out a spray can of something and sprayed the tread on each tire. When he stood up I asked him what it was he put on my tires. He lit a cigarette looked at me and said, I's none of your buseness, now get in your car and get out of here. I got in, put it in drive, drove right up that driveway like it was the middle of summer. The driveway went into the underground parking in the apartment where I lived. The old guy walked over to my car, so he must have lived by close enough to hear my tires spinning (or my Cherry Bombs), but I never saw him again. I told my dad about this figuring that since dad was O/O OTR driver he would know what it was. Dad just laughed and walked into the house. Never did tell what it was or what was so funny.
