That's always been a bit of an oxymoron, hasn't it? It gets better, the shipper I pull for actually has a plant ten miles from this customer. Somehow in logistical math it makes more sense to send us up there 3 to 4 times a week from 300 miles away, usually five pallets or less.

My phone goes off at 6 this morning with my South Carolina reload info. I don't think much of it. Bout a hour ago travel agent calls and says what's eta to Gaston. Bout midnight I figure. Long pause uh well I uh uh thought you would be tgere today. We may have to do something else on that reload.

It was after midnight when they finally got me loaded. After 2 when I finally get my paperwork. I have shocked a few folks a time or 2 when I announce my where abouts but #### expecting S.C today just set the bar two high. Gonna have to try harder

Pre-trip, fuel and def (your welcome, manatee) 435 miles and 3 stops before I have to take a 30 min break. So I ask myself, "self, do we deserve a fried chicken sandwich and a pizza stick from the Dodge store in Okolona?" Self was like, you bet we do!"
