So, here’s a first... my tire blowout bent the mud flap hanger.

Not a single shop wants to touch it... the hangers are welded into the cross members...

Can’t just buy a new mudflap as the hanger is bent... been on my to do list since Blythe. Might just have to get routed to Laredo/Tulsa... hammering it isn’t doing squat, obviously. Mudflap is still attached, just a cut in it making two of the mounting holes useless...

Technically secured. Not touching the tires... Guess I could have worse issues... o_O

I think he actually lives in Colorado Springs and used to have to DH to the Midwest a lot coming out of his house.

He was on salary so it may not have made a difference to. VAlley where he lived.

Sorry I got the state wrong, I knew he was salary. My point was they’ll hire away from Minnesota

Bounced from Cali last week for what was supposed to be a really good paying load - sat from Thursday to Monday no load materialized. So instead of making 5 times the money I am do this BS to moat for some fuel and get home. I will probably be the only 65 ton beam trailer to ever haul a 3000 lbs fiberglass tank.

Here is my hillbilly set up - my booster is stashed on Martins trailer so we could both haul one.

If it’s rubber, a knife and a couple zip ties will get it a little more secure. I’ve used a piece of square hollow tube to bend the bracket out before if there’s enough lip to grab. You could get creative with the dot bumper and a ratchet binder and chain and probably pull it back if it’s bent up towards the tire. You could pull it back in if it was bent out using either a cross beam and ratchet binder, or even the eye of a steel wheel. Just some food for thought.

I swear I can count the number of times I’ve seen you over the past few months...

Once on the 20. You were headed east with what looked like some military equipment. On the 40, you were parked on the off ramp at the TA in NC before the Smokies. Annnnnnd last week in Seguin when I was walking to grab dinner. And this morning near Ft. Hancock....one of these days I’ll finally get to talk to ya :p

Like I said. Gravy. You ain’t go no heavy axles down. You’re barely oversized. No pilots/escorts? You’re in familiar territory. Crap my guy you’re practically on vacation :D

You be safe out there :)

Did they say why they won't do it?

Throw up a picture, we'll give you all kinds of thoughts and ideas on how to fix it.

I burned up almost a week and half and covered my fuel bill...instead of money

And it the shipper 5.5 hours to get around to loading the f N thing - which took all of 15 minutes including securing. Then I had to fight with the giant (insert derogatory female description here) to get the bills to get going. Oh and 2 hours in Victoria to break and stack the trailer in 15000% humidity. So not much gravy on this one

Oh I am still almost 75k in this photo- so yes I am light
