Its funny that most of you guys are quoting such prices but in reality when it posts on a load board for $500 it will be gone in 5 minutes and could be one of you :biggrin_255:

I was thinking the same thing. A broker could take a 200 mile load and put $500 on it and move as many as they want all day long everyday I would love to get $1500 for a little run like that but it aint happening at this time. I pulled a load out of detroit the other day 450 miles load just south of chicago weighed 49700lbs and got $1000 on that thing and comparing to recent rates I had a smile on my face. I set my truck up lite and can scale around 51500lbs these nitch things have been the only things recently that have been putting profit in my pocket. I dont meen to offend anybody but if you are sitting somewhere waiting on a 3 buck a mile load in todays market you better be prepared to wait a long time. I will also add that I offered to dh back for a dollar a mile and pick up a twin load for the same price the weight was making it hard for them to move them but not hard enough to throw me the dead head on it.

Times may be tough right now but we can't haul for nothing . Times like this will flush allot of people who are over stretched outta the biz . Im talking about people with huge truck / trailer payments . Dont let people try and beat you up just because they say the Market is down . Things still need to be moved . Just my opionion .. I seen this situation coming years ago and got myself prepaired for it . We need to stick together a bit and quit " running for fuel " ..Once again just my thoughts not trying to stir anything up i know everyone has to eat . Stay strong things will get better .

What kinda millage are you getting man? Blow through $500 worth of fuel in 200 miles? Besides i didnt say id haul it for that im saying every bodys talking big $$$ but in reality they sit on this forum and talk ##### and biznitch....

In the mean time while you sit on your a-z-z and pass up a $2.25/mile load with fuel at $2/gallon waiting on your $1500 200 mile run that will never happen....... It will for me but not for you cuz i gotz mad connectionz and work my a-z-z off for it. :biggrin_25525:
