Front cover Leakage DT570

    Hi,
    I observed engine oil leakage coming from the bolt hole of the front cover (2L in 3 days). What do think is it from the bolt or from the cover.
    I removed the bolt and get same quantity of leakage.

    The spaghetti seal in between either the outer and inner cover, and/or inner cover and block has likely shrunk over time and allowing oil to seep down the threads. Or, you have a crack in there. Either way, front cover would have to be removed to find out. If you do the outer half, do the inner half too because that seal will be shrunk down too.
