K&H truck plaza Gillman, Illinois. Good eats. I eating a full order of biscuits and gravy for $5.00 about. Breakfast specials under $6.00.
It is a Roadys fuel stop also.

Gallops Truck Stops in northern Indiana have a few locations(Goshen and Middlebury(Michigan State Line). The newest and largest is the large castle at the intersection of US 20 and Indiana 15. They have Subway and McDonalds, but the main thing is they have plenty of truck parking in an area where it is desperately needed.
Another fan of the Speedway Truck Stops. The large one in South Bend probably has room for twenty or so trucks and there are restaurants within walking distance. Only downside to the place is the giant potholes on the surrounding streets. One is so big that last week a Fed Ex hauling triples fell into one and hasn't been seen since.

The River City Grill was one of my favorite stops anywhere in the country. Great food!

They're one of the most expensive places in town to fuel...usually 10-15 cents more than by the bridge. Can save a few more cents down in Benton, especially if paying cash.

F/S fuel stops are usually decently priced. Huck's, too, except for the ones that have sold off their diesel operations to PFJ (Kuttawa, Mt Vernon). Down around Memphis, I'll usually hit the Blu stations.

    Back on Kwik Trips -
These places are really good for "grocery runs" in between grocery store visits. They have a good selection of most staples as well as a good frozen, fresh, and dairy goods selections, and their prices are not far from major grocer chain prices

But dam, you have to excercise a lot of discipline not to buy a lot of the stuff they surround you with during the entire visit that is all very good and tasty but not good for you.

    Oldironfan and Truckermania Thank this.

Very true. I like me some Kwik Trip. Would be nice if Pilot & Love's could take a hint. Maybe eventually Kwik Trip will go National.

    Hey Buddyd,
I do not wish to burst your bubble but the Servicetown truck stop at exit 133 in Fredricksburg is long closed but the Blue Beacon truck wash is still there I think. The All American in Doswell, which once was Jarrels and again Doswell Truck Stop is still there but barely hanging on.

If your passing a kwik trip soon stop in.
They have 5 oz beef sirlons for .99 cents, limit of 5. Per visit I'm guessing. Also bananas are the best price anywhere .38 cents a pound. Same price as long as I can remember.
Also hiring now at stores starting at $12.65/ hour, 3rd shift $14.65/he. I wish I lived closer than 55 miles from one.
I almost forgot if you have a sweet tooth day old donuts are $1.59 for 3, muffins day old are .59 cents.

As it happens, I'm spending the night in my new "favorite regional truck stop." I don't get to Wenatchee, WA very often. The one truckstop in that town has no showers and they charge to park.

I read a review on Trucker Path app for "BJ's" a Shell station on WA28, east and south of Wenatchee about 12 miles. It sounded like just the place to kick back and chill until I pick up my next load.

BJ's has a full service restaurant (6a - 9p M - Sat; 7a - 9p on Sun); a well-stocked 24-hr convenience store--including beer AND Washington wines; a shower (one in each restroom-private room); laundry; truckers' lounge with comfy chairs and a flat screen. They have free Wi-fi too, but it wasn't working today.

They do Comdata and TFS. If you want a cash advance without fueling, there's a $5 fee.

I had pork chops topped with grilled (Washington) apples, homemade mashed potatoes, fresh green beans, and garlic toast. After a nap, I went back in and got a slice of peanut butter chocolate pie for dessert. I may never leave. Lol.

All the employees are friendly and professional, and diplomatic too-- they even laughed at my jokes.

When I described my dinner to someone, I told them it was so good I would deadhead just to eat here again.
