We raced against Coga in the semi finals, bobtail. Our clutch let go. He did not win last year in the bobtail, He placed third. There a couple of other guys running his combination .
We stopped pulling the trains with our truck two years ago. Too much money in broken stuff. Bobtail is alot easier on the engine and driveline when your racing big power.
Dyno Day numbers anyone?

Yeah Lenny i agree, no nitrous in a work truck, i dont know the rules for dyno comps or what albans rules were that day but antrims was a street truck category which david blankenship took with 1092hp i believe. C15 CAT runnin a 3406E timing cover and timing sensor and 40 pin ecm on pure diesel, no adders.
-
hey, what is his theory for running the single cam timing sensor on a c15 with the old 40 pin ecm?
better response? or could he advance the timing? or easy to overfuel the engine? -
If you guys think there is alot of power adders in dyno shootouts, then you shold really look at sled pulling. Theres so much nitrious and propane around at the pulls it will make your head spin. Also many of the trucks entered into the over the road class will either have farm plates or plates good for like 30,000 lbs. Now thats not over the road. I would still rather pull then do a dyno shootout.

sorry i didnt read this untill after i posted;youre exactally right, in none of the articles about mutt winning did it say anything about Tom Lindsey.he couldnt stand it that he had nothing to do with the truck except a injection pump that has been long redone by tom...btw hats off to you and the owners of those detroits, theyre awesome machines!

Your digging way back. 2 yr old thread ! look for " Mr Haney " thread. his latest is posted there. 1325 hp or so at the tire.

Antrim Diesel also goes by Hp per cubic inch rule. I've placed second twice there due to this rule by .06 hp per cubic inch. To win I needed to put down 1375. I don't add fuel additives........I don't run NOS, propane or water/alcohol injection......I don't even buy off road fuel for these contests, whatever fuel I bought at the last fuel stop is what's in the tank. PDI is a run what ya brung dyno contest concerning engine size and doesn't allow any kind of power adders, ya need to tell Mutt he needs to go to Utah in November, their dyno will hold him without any problems
Alban started the hp per cubic inch rule after the first contest to try to level the playing field. The first year they had a 3406B in truck that did 901hp to the tires. If you're putting on a contest with a cash prize for the top Hp of the day and want the contestants to feel like they've got a chance to win regardless of which engine they're using...........hp per cubic inch is the only way to make everyone happy. The driver of this truck was upset to say the least. Alban didn't give out trophies or prizes out for anything but the King of the Hill for the highest amount of HP produced. If you want a no holds barred grudge match style dyno contest, then you're going to lose participants willing to bring a variety of different engines. You'd have a couple of QSK 19's there for a 1 hour long event. The 3406B is 890 ci with 901 hp, Mutt Tayman's KTA is 1150 ci with 1007 hp by the hp per cubic inch rule in effect now, Mutt lost. The year Mutt showed up at Upper Marlboro I think the fact it was raining and his tires were wet caused more of a traction issue then you realize. I've been on that dyno and did much more than he ever did there testing for a bad injector im my truck. They tied me down with just a chain around the rear and two straps over the steer tires. Also you complain about the Elkridge shop and its dyno.......this dyno is not able to handle the Hp being produced. I wanted to test at this shop and after they found out what kind of power I was looking to put down they refused to test the truck and sent me to Upper Marlboro. There main concern was when they called Taylor Dynometer to see how much it would cost to fix the dyno if it broke while testing my truck, Taylor told them a minimum of $60,000 to update the dyno plus parts and labor for anything that broke. That dyno isn't as big as the one in Upper Marlboro and this is the reason they didn't have anymore contests there after they saw the power levels of the first two contests they held.
These contest are for fun and shouldn't be taken this seriously. Too many guys are showing up with fuel additives and hidden Hp enhancement systems. It's getting to the point where I don't even want to go anymore, next year I'll need 1500 hp to be the winner. I'm tired of chasing the numbers. It was interesting to see what parts were changed on trucks since the last time I'd seen them, but to see 6 injectors being changed on a 3406E an hour before the contest is a little ridiculous, especially when it had 59's in it already
Take notice of the throttle position, this was done at Upper Marlboro recently, you can call them to confirm it if you'd like
