Rheem recalls 700 laid-off workers

MILLEDGEVILLE ' Rheem Manufacturing officials announced Thursday that the company will recall all 700 workers laid off from its plant here last year.
The laid-off employees will return to work Feb. 16, said human resources manager John Anthony.

"I believe most of the people that we're recalling will come back," Anthony said.
The air conditioner plant laid off workers in August and again in October, with about 400 people losing their jobs in the second cuts. Anthony said the seasonal nature and the struggling economy made it difficult to predict what will happen this year.

Finally! At least a little good news... hopefully they're able to work long enough to re-qualify for unemployment before they are laid off again (if that happens).
