Back then my old man had them on all his trucks. You got a flat you changed it yourself or you looked for another job !! Try that now a day with the drama queens !!

 

Made it to Ashern, MB for the night. 590 miles on the day WITH a load and unload. Not exactly sure how I got 23 ton of crushed quicklime off in 1 hour and 40 minutes, but I'll take it.

Not sure yet if I'm loading another trailer load for the mine tomorrow, since they might be shutting down production for the rest of the month. So I guess I'll take sleeping in tomorrow morning for that, lol.

 

Made my mark, thought bout ridin on through Indy but I'm tired.

 

@OLDSKOOLERnWV I'll have to get a picture of the 4300 Eagle that Power Vac (Blue Beacon) has hanging on the wall of their warehouse here. Every time I go there to pick up I realize I should've brought my phone with me to get a picture of it.....next time!?

Had a guy at R&L put a wheel/ tire on one day, said he knew how.... first firm braking and it spun on the spokes, yep right into the stops.

 

Yea that be nice to see! Dad retired from R.F Steiner & Co which was a International & GMC truck dealership. I remember those 4300 Eagles setting on the front row brand new. For International they were sure nice, considering IH made tough trucks with no real concern to the ride lol.

 

Found this picture little bit ago. Paul had a lot of fun with this one...., named "Fountain of Youth", had a 66 Fairlane myself. Rumor has it, it may be coming down off the blocks after a number of years in mothballs. Paul
