    Thanks for the replies lifesavers.

When I showed my codriver the engine lights the first thing he did was get out and knock on the poor guys door next to us and ask him if he knew what it meant. Lol! I was like dude you cant be waking people up like that. Some people can't get back to sleep once you wake them up.

Flatbedder parked next to a reefer. If that wasnt enough we will make sure you are awake knocking on your door asking about dash lights.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

You won’t be able to do a regen with the red light on. I had same issue last week. Engine shut off after red stop light came on. You could run a few miles before it shuts off. Keep doing that over and over. I had another unit dragged out and my unit towed away
I don’t like my truck quitting as I run only 2 lane highway with soft shoulders

Thats what I was thinking. But it appears to have worked anyway. Lights are gone and I didnt wake up to a 90 degree truck once last night.

    FL+DD15?
In that case you need an official Freightliner Engine Shutdown Override Switch Retainer Clip - part# BICTOP. Jam a pen top beside the shutdown override switch to hold it down. Then go directly to some place that can read and diagnose the code(s) if you can't.

BTW, first the parked regen light comes on, then it starts flashing after a hundred miles or so, then after another hundred miles or so you get the shutdown lights. If those things didn't happen and in that order then there is a problem beyond just needing a parked regen.

    Jazz1 and TravR1 Thank this.

Ya, I got no warning, no regen lights illuminated, just BAM!
Engine light, Engine check light and Stop light and engine just quit

If both red and yellow stay on when it shuts down, you are not doing the smart idle correctly. Happens to me once in a while.

Good idea, but it won't disconnect everything. Disconnecting the ground directly from the battries will do more, usually two connections.

Probably won't help buy may let you limp somewhere.
