Does anyone know if I can take the tall condo roof off my 2003 century 120 and replace it with a mid height roof? Is it a pretty straight forward swap?

    Thanks

It's possible. But not sure it would be easy or not. It's all epoxy sealed I think on top.

I saw a picture of a guy that did that. He used a 12'6" overpass.

    WHY?

Sell the thing and buy a midroof built just like the way you want it.

It is my theory that if you don't want a condo, leave it alone. Someone will want it. The reason being is that when you start sawing and gluing up there will liable to be leaks forever and ever. It's not worth it. Sell it and use the money to get a midroof you want.

That makes it a real quick job to take it off. Just need the right amount of speed.

If its a good truck and he like fld's what are the odds of finding a good used 2003 fld? Especially if his truck is spec'd well for his work. Pita for sure but not impossible at all.

It's definitely not a weekend and a case of beer kind of project. Do those trucks have the cab and sleeper integrated as one?

    Oldironfan Thanks this.

Had this trick 7 years now and know it well. Have it setup like I want with some extra hp, 3rd fuel tank, eld exempt Detroit, etc...

Would rather swap a roof than start over with a different used truck with potential unknown issues.

The condo roof isn’t hurting anything, I’m just trying to build it into the look I want.

Yes it’s integrated cab and sleeper. However there is a seem just above the door that runs around the whole cab. Looks like it should come apart.

I just wanted to be sure the mid roof is a direct fit. I’m not worried about the difficulty of the job. As long as the mid roof will fit, that’s all I really needed to know.

There are two general size Columbia cabs, short sleeper and xt I think.
