    I'm hurt....and I didn't hear anyone complaing when I was moving a #### ton of freight at rookie pay and making them a ton of money. Matter of fact all they did was run me in and knock the points of and get my money making, small mistake having, low paid rookie ### back on the highway....sounds about right, huh?

    I don't worry about my job. If I lose it I will go elsewhere. I have worked full time since I was 16. I am almost 50. I have never been layed off or fired. If it happens it happens. I will adapt and overcome. I am a survivor. I married my wife not a job. Even when I left maverick I still talked highly of them. They are a good company. When you figure out when co's are struggling to get by with fuel prices and economy the one's that will be let go first are the one's that are costing the co money.

    I do try to keep my negative posts in the negative areas, and try to keep the positive ones in the positive areas.

    And I praise them where they deserve it, and dog them when they do.

    Take my advise as a rookie place to start;

    I loved their securement team, always got help when I needed it.
    Their equipment was good.

    Hence, good place as a rookie to start.

    Then of course the negatives you can see from my posts in the "report bad company sections."

    Baack and PharmPhail Thank this.

    So here's the negative;

    if you as a rookie have more then 1 mistake in a year (because they'll report that one)- they'll #### your DAC to where you won't work again.

    -if you run illegal as #### and make a bunch of money, they won't say a word....until it's time to cut drivers....matter fact, they'll take care of you, untill time to ditch drivers.

    hence my advice;
    good place to start, no how the system works (I shur didn't)....then get out....with 1 year experience, quiting on your terms, with 1 accident or less, with a job lined up.

    -use their equipment and securement training to get your start.....then bail.

    and don't be a dumb rookie and run way to hard, risking your ####, while they say nothing.....and if they take care of your littl ####- don't think for a second they have your back at cut time.

    There is only one person I know of in NLR that knows who I am. My FM does not even know my handle. How do you think my posting about maverick is keeping my job? My work reputation and fuel mileage and positive outlook is what is keeping me in a truck. I keep a low profile. I do my job well. I carry myself well. That goes a long ways. I truck smart and plan well.

    When I called to put in an AP to come back I left my name. When they called back I told them who I was. He told me if you would have told me your handle I would have known who you was. My name is not on this board. I am known by my handle not my real name. Only a few on this board actually know my real name. Does mav know you by your name or handle? Kind of childish to say the only reason why I haven't been let go is because I post about how good maverick has been to me. I try to avoid NLR. The shop takes to long to do anything. I lose too much time there. I go to the other yards and never have any problems getting in and out of the shop. My favorite is madison. I don't even like the truck wash at NLR. Truck looks worse after you wash it there.
