Yup they were standard in my bf's last Freightliner. He called them Moulin Rouge lights and said they cut down on the glare.
red/ blue lights

airplane - and most military vehicles...
not only does it reduce glare at night - but they are less noticable than "white light" by your enemy.
In many trucks - guys run a blue light on the dash or near eye level (also called Canadian Driving lights) - and the thought is that the blue light keeps your eyes moving and reduces your chancs of falling asleep at the wheel... -
Yeah I have red lenses on my light my my head so if I have to check the truck stop book or look at the bills real quick it isnt so bright and doesnt light the whole truck up. As for fog lights or driving lights they dont bother me dont see what the big deal is with them. The only ones that bother me are the people that replace the factory bulb with an obnoxious bright illegal bulb.
GAPrincess Thanks this. -
Ugh! I hate those too and everyone around here seems to have those ultra bright blue tinged halogens in this area.

I had a set of lights installed just under the front bumper of my mustang, just to keep from getting hit, run into all the time! No matter what the weather it seemed like people could not SEE that RED car....once I had the bright blues added they quit pulling right out in front of me, etc.
I can not begin to count the number of times that car was almost hit, it was insane big city, small town it didnt matter, NOW at least I have a tad bit more safety knowing they can see it....still dont trust they wont be stupid but its one more "layer" of protecting us.
