Big News in reference to the USA & European Union trade negotiations. Soy Beans and Natural gas are big winners. Working on zero tarrifs and eliminating steel and aluminum tarrifs as well. Ok .. Back to our regularly scheduled programming!

Against my better judgement I may do a tutorial in the cb forum on how to make it work, at least get you a 5 to 6 mile range. You gotta use your own antenna, mount and coax though. I will fully expect some of those geeks to be asking pointless questions, pretending to know it all. all the while trying fifteen antennas and thirty mounting locations to talk to the other side of the median.

Just do it in here and save the drama. The average fella has no interest in buying an antenna analyzer, a white noise generator, and Times LMR-400 coax to minimize loss on the 2 and a half foot trip from the radio to the antenna like those guys say you need to.

We talk about all kinds of stuff in this thread. I think there’s several that would welcome a CB tutorial from a guy that knows his stuff.

I’ll take the trusty IPad tomorrow with me and take some pics. This is Crapcadia specific, since other trucks (like yours) should ground easily with metal doors and metal mirrors. I mainly know Volvo’s and Freightliner when it comes to plastic trucks. And a few plastic Peterbilts.

    Good deal.

Before I got my truck, I drove a company Volvo. A bird perch screwed into a mirror bolt hole, with a good mount and antenna and of course good coax made them talk just fine.
