My problem is the loading and unloading of cars. Everyone says you have to put a mount up between where the one and 2 cars are. Problem is it ain't my truck so welding a mount there is a no go. Any thoughts?
I quoted the wrong post. @shogun is who I meant to quote. But I'll take anyone's opinion!!Oxbow, Tug Toy, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 7 others Thank this. -

My only suggestion would be the top of the mirror mounts?Tug Toy, OLDSKOOLERnWV, 4mer trucker and 6 others Thank this.

On car carriers that never seems to work well. Something about loading and unloading the two cars seems to mess with the radio getting out. I don't know enough about them to know why.Tug Toy, OLDSKOOLERnWV, 4mer trucker and 8 others Thank this.

What do you get for weight on a setup like this? Is it 34 and then 12 in the back? Are the considered a single group? Or is it 20 out back?Tug Toy, OLDSKOOLERnWV, 4mer trucker and 8 others Thank this. -
Daggum what’s the problem down there?Tug Toy, OLDSKOOLERnWV, 4mer trucker and 7 others Thank this.

My somewhat educated guess would be to mount between the two cars because that would be the least amount of reflect off the vehicles. Personally, I would clamp a mount to one of your safety poles, run a ground wire from the mount to a spot on the inside carrier frame square tube where I could scrape off a little paint unnoticed, and mount a top loaded fiberglass antenna like a Wilson silverload, Skipshooter or Everhardt Tiger.
Get it as high as possible, then run the necessary length coax back to the radio, run wire loom where necessary to protect the coax. I bet it would talk well. Your limit would be how tall it would be depending on how high you put the mount.Last edited: Jul 25, 2018

Depends on a 3 axle wagon I like to single out the front and rear leave duals in the middle. They seem to ride better and not cup the tires near as bad.Oxbow, Tug Toy, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 10 others Thank this.
