Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Its pretty bad when even Swift wont hire out of Florida...
!
One would think that with the fuel prices down that things might have picked up some....
Desperate times call for desperate measures....if I don't get a job soon it will be over the road again, I will live in a truck before I will live in my car....
-
I wish i would have said this 17 yrs ago. -
From what i understand from what they to say is that they are not hiring exp drivers til maybe march but are still hiring new drivers with no exp. -
Here are two companies that I know for a fact that are hiring out of Florida at the moment..
Conway Truckload and Melton Truck Lines...I spoke with Conway and they said they are hiring from Florida even before I told them where in Florida I live and Melton is always advertising and they only require 6 mths exp.
Hope this helps... -
Saw an ad in the paper for Oakley Transport, they are hiring FLORIDA drivers with Tanker and 2 years experience

I can get ya a job in a month or so out of FL if you have some experience, a decent driving record and no failed drug tests. And don't mind being out a few weeks. I'm generally out 3 or 4 weeks then take 5 to 7 days off
