Park or shift on tracks. I race yellow lights. Sometimes I lose.

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

Not parking on tracks shouldn't be a rule.

Like not deciding to jog incircles on the interstate isn't.

Don't race the lights in Illinois... They have a lot of red light cameras. One of only a hand full of places that I know they use them

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

We have four in our little town. Learned the hard way and donated $50. I was the only one on the road at 2am and it mysteriously changed at the perfect time.

    Mike2633 and Cattleman84 Thank this.

They took them out in Cali and other places because it takes a picture of the plate not the driver . You can’t ticket a car for running a red light . That’s how that lawsuit went down .

The witness had time to try and warn driver that the train was coming ... driver had his head so far up his you know what I guess he didn’t see that or hear the train that appeared... I suppose he will be saying he got sideswiped and they fired him for that when he applies at Carolina cargo

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

I have seen plenty of drivers try to outrun the gates as they drop, or cross while the reds are still flashing. To my mind, this is suicidal.

I can't count the number of times I've seen one train complete a crossing, the gates go up, and then the gates come right back down again and another train comes charging through heading in the opposite direction.

I personally refuse to cross when the lights are flashing UNLESS there is a railroad representative present who motions me through. This is only found (in my experience) either at crossings close to switching yards or locations where there is maintenance occurring.

I don't try to race trains. I gotta be lucky every time. They only gotta be lucky ONCE!
