This is my boot of choice... Oil them really well and have them reheeled before the heel wears to badly and they will last years. This same brand offers other styles including boots with more of a work boot tread and some.

Work boots? These are spendy but they'll outlast that cheap garbage at the discount stores. Plus, they're American made.

I have a couple pairs of custom boots from Nick’s. Better than White’s in mine, and my dad’s opinion.

I used red wings for years until it was time for a new pair. Tried every boot in the store including the 'king toe' boot. All felt uncomfortable. Since then I've been buying ariat.
RussianBearTruckeR Thanks this. -
thank you all, will look into all these brands - I emailed Ariat, Whites, RedWing asking if they carry a all natural leather interior model - that's where my issue comes in, the leather interior...
Some of these long boots seem to belong at CbGb's attending a GG Allin concert back in the day...Last edited: Jul 27, 2018

try a red wing store. i got mine back in November of 2005, and have had them resoled 3 times now,(by them) and i did have to pay, but i have had to have the lace eyelets replaced, for free, and i get replacement boot laces for free as well...lifetime warranty. they just do not if i recall, warranty boots that are used in paving work, i was told by the store manager.
you can also replace the insoles with the OEM style or a much softer one.
you can also go to any of their stores, and apply waterproofing for free....anytime.....kurbski and RussianBearTruckeR Thank this.
