Well, tomorrow begins my foray into hazmat, and not being able to smoke in my truck. Here goes nuthin'

I'd do that but I don't want to risk getting reported. There's always some a-hole driver out there with an axe to grind and I have a perpetual black cloud following me. And I've learned recently that there is a stigma among many drivers about Landstar guys. Not sure why, and don't care. Haters gonna hate. I just try to keep to myself and never give anyone a reason to complain.

 

Agreed. I never whined about any Mega driver. Unless, of course, I'm stuck behind a guy in a 62 mph truck. And I have to remind myself in those moments that it may not be his fault, might just be a company-wide standard. Other than that, truckers are truckers. Never was a guy to snitch, either. Saw a Millis truck here yesterday where I'm doing my 34. There's only one reason to be here, and it ain't the fuel. That dude is braver than me. I never woulda done that in my Millis truck, I woulda just parked across the street and walked. But, I'm a wuss like that. And admittedly paranoid. I salute his moxie.

 

Can't say that I remember that, and I feel like I probably should. But, I can use it in a sentence. I got screwed on a truck repair today, but my load will be on time tomorrow, which is a good thing
