Why I love Loves

If the posted price at an exxon or other small gas station was cheaper, that's where i would fuel.

 

Usually the cheapest fuel in the country is my local TA in OKC. Sure, the list price is higher than ma and Pa, but my corporate discount is often north of $0.60 per gallon.

I use the Fuel Book app when I am route planning and need to find a fuel stop.

By the way, for those of you with big tanks, in really cold winter conditions DON'T top off your tanks south of I-40 and wait to fill up again north of I-90. Sure you save some coin on fuel, but when you need #1 diesel to stay alive it's far better to spend the coin starting around I-70 or I-80 at the latest.

 

I don't ever stress the winter fuel thing. If i top off in Tennessee on 40 by the time i get up north where its cold enough to worry about, ill have burnt enough off that i can add plenty of winter fuel and it will blend itself together.

 

With what fuel card did you find that discount? I cannot find one that works well for Love's.

 

Why don't you guys appreciate what loves or whatever truck stops bring to us drivers. Middle of nowhere spending night on dirt lot or on highway ramp is not fun. They don't have to please everybody even if they try that is impossible to do. So try to be happy what you got at moment.

Loves has fuel card with some discount. Loves express is the name if i remember correctly.
Most fuel cards accepted many locations have some kind of charges monthly and/or every transaction. If you get Loves or Pilot card there is no charge whatsoever.

 

Because Loves and other travel plazas (thier NOT truck stops anymore) are corporations. Thier in business for one reason, and one reason only. TO MAKE MONEY!! While thier is nothing wrong with that. They are not bringing anything to anybody. So if I or anyone moans, groans, #####es or complains. That is because we feel the travel plazas are not offering us enough for our money, and are gouging us for what they do offer

 

This past summer I called the 800 number for Loves. It wasnt about a complaint, I just wanted to make a comment about something.

The lady who I talked to gave me Diamond status for a month (without asking)- meaning free drink refills and free showers.

Since then I only fuel at Loves. No more Pilot/Flying J.

 

I get it guys but why is Love's packed most of the time ?
