Yes,you should post the company name. These dirtbag companies need to be exposed. You are not a slave and can quit any job whenever you choose. Any future employer who holds it against you after hearing the truth about why you left is another abuser imo. In the old days you didn't dare let most of these companies know you were quitting. They would NOT route you home and would keep you out on the road. If you took it upon yourself to go home they would cut off your fuel card and call the cops to "evict" you.

I remember my spouse saying I quit halfway across Tennessee.

After the echoing stopped, she instantly became a Passenger with no responsibilities. We were now a solo truck. It was not a surprise to me because she and I had been discussing that possibility for some time

One day at home after any period of time on the road is never enough. You will find with enough experience running OTR for years you will need that one day in a cave to decompress and rest up enough to become human again to your family. Then a couple days to catch up on the honey do stuff. And then a few days away from everyone for yourself only. Finally the last 30 to 48 hours is spent in packing the semi and organizing yourself to get going, you are late already. If you have had enough time at home you will have motivation to get out.

Since you quit under a load well... it's possible for a company to start cutting off everything. Cards, permits, certain privileges and email communications over satellite etc among other things. You will feel as if you were abandoned by your company which is no longer going to support you until you get that tractor trailer back to the yard. It's no longer your company and in fact, you are holding onto their property in which they need ASAP to stick another drive in to replace you to continue being productive with it.

I am laughing at the way your DM racked and stacked a bunch of No's you cants and it's no good until you sprout the magic words "I quit" ok 10.4. Done. I should take a parting shot at the DM who thinks self has leveled up to God Mode or something stupid.

Next time you plot quitting in this industry, do it after you cleaned the truck out at the yard and a clipboard of everything out of that truck, fuel cards, permits, registration, papers on and on and on. Clap the whole thing on the boss's desk and say I quit. Thank you for the work oppertunity. Have a good day.

Hopefully YOU hae the cash to fly first class across the USA being waited on hand and foot all the way over going home.

Don't work for DAC companies and you'll never care about your dac.

Going from one dac company to another is not the way to have a career. Specially since they all suck anyways.

Local, or at the very least a carrier that will get you home every couple days. LTL, package delivery, gas...something. That is way too much time away from home, unless you are banking multiple crazy thousands of dollars in 6 or 7 weeks.

Could be Werner or anyone of several.
In this day and age, any time you read a job posting, you have to take it at face value.
I have been fortunate for the last few decades my company has treated me well. Even when I was an owner/operator with them.
But, all too often, folks get hooked in and then they change the game plan after they've already reeled you in. It's pretty common BS anymore.

Really? I've never had an employer do that. They usually ask for personal references, but I've never had an employer actually call one.
