I've been leased onto Sammons for five years and am looking to move on. I have it narrowed down to Bennett or Admiral Merchant and am looking for advise from o/o leased on or formerly leased to either company.

I've been with Admiral Merchants for a month now. So far it's been going good. You do everything online including orientation. The hiring process is dependent upon how fast you submit all required paperwork. It's completely self dispatching, so how much $$$ you make is all on you. You can work off their board or any loadboard as long as the broker/agent is creditworthy with Admiral. You're paid within a few hours once you complete a load and submit paperwork via transflo/fax. I like it here honestly. I was considering Bennett as well since I live in Atlanta, but i have no regrets coming over here.. Be safe driver and hopefully you make a sound decision!! Good Luck!!

Bennett and Admiral were the two that I narrowed it down to as well. I ended up going with Bennett. I've been happy here so far. You'll make the most revenue working directly with the agents, which does require some effort far as phone calling and establishing yourself as dependable driver. The in house load board can be very good as well. You'll also have a fleet manager that can help you out when needed. Both seem to be good companies, you probably could succeed at either one.

I would go with Bennett just for the sole reason I personally couldn't work for a company called Admiral Merchant.

Admiral merchants because you get the freedom to work off other boards. Bennet is good to haul for as well because they pay quick. But as a lease on I would be considering Admiral over bennett

No where yet, I am waiting for the title to my trailer to come back from the state, but I'm leaning to admiral, we have a few common agents so I don't have to prove myself to them

I liked Admiral when I was there in 2004.
Good luck on whichever you decide

Well, a driver I know talked me into going to a small 6 truck carrier. I stayed 6 months but she did everything half assed so I wound up going to Admiral Merchant. I have been here a month and am loving it, should have come here years ago. It has only been a month or so, and things could change but so far its great.
