I'm supposed to be full time at UPSF, we just don't have enough work. Plus I only make 17.20 an hour and 16.75 when doing dock work. I called FedEx yesterday and they couldn't read my long form so that's what was taking so long. She told me to let her know when I can start so I'm putting my two week notice in today and going to FedEx. Thanks for your input bro.

That's good. If you become a city driver at FXF you will have the same hourly rate no matter if you're driving a truck or working on the dock. Good luck

I got called the other day. The lady confirmed we work the dock in between all the driving. Seriously, what the hell! I couldn't turn it down fast enough! When will these friggin companies learn...we're DRIVERS, hire the #### dock workers they need! You all enjoy doing two jobs for the price of one.

UPS calls me all the time from Denver to recruit me out of Salt Lake off my resume on Indeed . They have a permanent ad for P and D drivers in salt lake . They offered me 17 dollars an hour to do P and D . LOL. If you’re not 21 with no bills you can’t do that . It would take twenty years plus to get a bid over guys half your age that have been there for years already . And when they have lay offs they just cut ya ###.

SAIA and Central Transport put you out on their dock with the freight you line haul .

I think all of these LTL freight companies are pretty much the same with the exception of varying pay practices.

I know. I used to work for Conway. Worst job I've EVER had. The name on the door doesn't matter, when a company is so frickin cheap they abuse their drivers to save a buck, the job isn't worth it. The real shame is that there is a severe driver shortage but if people keep accepting jobs like this, the companies don't change and continue screwing us. Think about it...UPS is union, they pay $80k/year, they don't touch ANY freight, (line haul 'feeder' drivers, not UPS freight which is totally different) they're Mon-Fri, home every day, and extremely profitable. FedEx does the same thing, but pockets the extra profits off YOUR backs, all because you took the job which tells them they can keep doing this to their drivers. Think they truly value you? They don't. I for one will NEVER work for a company as a driver unless it's 100% no touch freight, period. I'm so tired of drivers being abused like this, doing two jobs but only being paid for one. You're doing TWO PEOPLE'S WORK for one paycheck! The only reason I was looking into this was to be home everyday, but there's no way I'm leaving where I am for a job where they use me, one person, for two jobs!

Best of luck to you all, peace out brothers. Maybe one day we'll get respect.
