Park at truck stop and take shower 8am before going to bed. You won't get dirty sleeping. You could also take shower at 7pm at end of 10 hour break before you start driving all night. If park at truck stops you have the option to shower during your 10 hour break everyday. Just before driving all night or just before going to bed at 8am.

    QuietStorm and Canadianhauler21 Thank this.

If the fuel line is empty dont feel too bad about pulling through for a shower. It should only be rude if its busy to block a lane for a shower. If theres 10 lanes and your the only one in them then whose going to be mad other than the dummy pulling up behind you when theres 9 other open lanes. But if youre starting your day, shower before you move the truck? Start your pretrip when you are done showering. I know we are truckers but its not too hard to figure out.

Some stuff I do make me feel like a dumb driver. When I get a shower they just turn the scanner around. She got my ticket printed out and I'm still standing there waving my card in front of the scanner. She rolls her eyes and said here let me help you. She took the card and instantly scanned it. Just a dumb driver sometimes.

If I'm pulling in only for a shower
Which I try not to do
,But sometimes I can't make it to the pilot before my hours are up,
I park wherever I will not be in the way
I don't even look for a marked spot
Just somewhere where I won't be blocking other drivers

I do that if there are only a couple spots left. I dont wanna deny another driver a spot that needs to use a 10. He comes in sees no spots and goes to the ramps. 30 minutes later I whobble out and just leave. Lol.

Shower in the early mornings or very early afternoons. I never wait for a shower. The worst time is late afternoon/supper time.

Don't be a male sex organ. Don't park/block a fueling lane to get a shower. You're going to block the lane for 30-45 minutes minimum. There's no excuse for that.

I understand that some people do not like to frequent truck stops for breaks. I don't get it, but I understand this is their preference. But they're not that bad. Shutting down at 08:00, park near the back row somewhere where there will be less traffic coming and going next to you during the day. Get up, walk to the shower inside and you can take your time since you won't start your 14 clock until you're ready to roll.
