My wife and i have been driving team for Conway for 3 years. The pay for teams is . 44 cents per mile. You will get a .01 cent safety bonus payed quarterly. Hazmat is .03 cent per mile. Teams haul many hazmat loads for the LTL division. Although some teams do drive the Kenworth 660 with studio sleeper, Conway also uses the Cascadia and a few kenworth T2000.
    Best of luck to you.

That is awesome! Glad to hear you made it through the school part. Christine is one busy lady but she always makes sure to call you back when you leave a message. I started my application and passed the oral interview already. So, if all works well I should be starting school soon through a school in Oklahoma that Conway approved. Good news again chevy and let us know how Joplin treats you. Congrats again!

Thanks for the info much appreciated, 44cpm is a little low but it is a lot better than most companies pay. When you say that Teams pull a lot of hazmat for the LTL division does this mean we get to pull doubles..? (we both love pulling doubles and wish we could find a company that would hire out of Florida pulling doubles).

I have a question, what sort of miles are you guys getting..? We are not the sort of Team that wants 6,000+ miles a week, we would be happy around 4,500 - 5,000 or thereabouts.

    Thanks again and be safe:biggrin_25525:

We do not pull doubles the LTL division uses us to move the freight long haul from terminal to terminal. This freight has the advantage of parking at the location and always being drop and hook. The miles of 4,500 - 5,000 is about what we average after home time. That is only an average you will have some 7000 mile weeks follwed by a 3000 mile week.

Thanks for the information...I appreciate it. I forgot to ask, how fast do the trucks go...? Had heard a rumor that they are like 62 ...? Also what is the idling policy..? being a team we would not be idling that much but there will be some...

Trucks are 65 mph. There is no idling policy ( you can idle) There is a minimum MPG policy. It is very easy to meet the MPG standards as a team. I think the minimum is 5.8 mpg. Company average is 6.2 ours is 7.16.

I think I may have confused you. I have not gotten my CDL yet but I did get approved by Christine to be able to attend a trucking school that they have approved. I will be attending Central Tech in Drumright, OK on March 4th. Where are you going to school? Good luck on your test coming up this week.

Well 65mph is much better the 62. The interesting thing about the MPG policy is if you idle it affects your MPG, does the company take this into consideration or are you still required to keep it about 5.8mpg regardless of what you are doing. I agree it is an easy target to meet.

MPG is calculated by gallons purchased divided by miles dispatched. All other uses of fuel will reduce your MPG. Like i said it is very easy to maintain 5.8 mpg. I dont know of a single team that could not do it. If you regularly Bobtail a 100 miles on the weekends or never turn off the truck you may have problems. The trucks all have bunk heaters that will keep the truck warm in the winter without idling. I idle much more in the summer. I have a pet so i need to keep him cool in the summer.
