Bad drum (or few). Just had this happen to me. Got all new brakes and started to have a vibration similar to yours. Ended up one drum was shaped like an egg out of factory, replaced it and vibration is gone

No you have drums & shoes or pads & rotorsMartinFromBC Thanks this.
-
You have to watch out for china made brake drums that are out of round out of the box?
MartinFromBC and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Seems like Kenworth would be able to spot an actual mechanical / defective part easy enough.
Ask them to check the tire damage sensors.
I park my truck at a company that has 50 - 680's.
The terminal manager and owner told me they have those sensors / deleted in all their trucks, because they are interlocked with the transmission and cause all sorts of havoc.MartinFromBC Thanks this. -
Mine were bought at Freightliner dealer. Made in UsaMartinFromBC and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

Knew a guy that got a new super b trainwith disc brakes and hauled across the BC mountains. He just charged down the hills and figured these new brakes were the greatest thing ever.
But with all that heat letting 140,000 lbs roll down the mountains and riding the disc brakes, within 7 months he was getting a lot of cracked rotors. -
Reading between the lines at your financials ... This is probably the best course of action.
You're under capitalized and your cash flow isn't enough to support you debt payment. -
Not on the front. Not if it's a T-680.
-
Make them replace the Ft. brake self/adj 1st thing, then if none of the ft.drums are cracked let it ride
-
Waiting to hear the prognosis!
