    That's a long time because I hated the person I was stuck with. Water under the bridge at this point. But man, I still can't believe I survived it.

    There is no incentive to keep a student longer than need be. If hes ready Im moving onto my next guy. With that said when I get a student that needs us to slow down and stay with me 6,7 or 8 weeks no problem. These guys are making RIDICULOUS money on my truck there is no reason for them to be in a hurry. If they need practice no problem. Ive been lucky so far that all 4 students have got in my truck and were pretty good from the start. Which in turn to me, speaks volumes about the Millis school and instructors. I guess you could keep 1 longer to team it for few weeks and Im sure some guys do but that's not for me. Like Ive said before, I was awake for all 16,000miles this truck got paid for. My numbers speak for themselves, you can get miles, teach, and not team it. We had almost 4200 last wk. Granted I, myself, "work" alot of 18+hr days but thats me driving 5 total hrs and him driving 10 and 3 hrs of unload/ reload/fueling etc but jesus christ Im sitting in a passenger seat its not like Im out chopping wood for 18hrs lol. And I always drive my hours 1st, when Im freshest and awake.

    When I finished my training he literally picked up his next student that week. Pretty sure he timed it that way on purpose. I got some corroboration on that suspicion, from someone we all trust. Like I said, water under the bridge. It's just hard to look back and not be pissed, because that was the worst 2 months of my life, and it wasn't necessary. And I practically begged for backing practice, never got it even once. Joke's on him, I'm skilled enough now to make him look like a moron in comparison.

    Ok ya I def could see a trainer keeping trying to time it so he has no break. I dont agree with it but I guess that's the incentive. I actually like the rotation Im on. 5-6wks with student 1-2 weeks solo then student again. Ya the $ isnt as good for those solo wks but its nice just driving and not teaching for a few.

    4 hours into August and Im already missing July.....sitting on shoulder of Indiana toll road waiting to get drive tire replaced that i blew......

    Mine to. Wonder it was the same guy. We were on a temporary Best Buy dedicated account leading up to Christmas and the only way to turn some of the runs in a single day was to team drive. Once I hit 15k for miles he said "oh that is the minimum." I was ready to get out of his truck in more ways than one and made a stink. Suddenly I was testing out within a week.
