Do you think I should look at lower compression pistons if I'm going to keep pushing high boost??????
-
Definitely would'nt hurt. But I'm not sure where you're gonna find pistons.

UNDERPSI, may or may not help. had similar problems once with MXS acert. Cat told me driver ID codes were different than those read thru data port. cant understand why Cat would do that....
underpsi Thanks this. -
UNDERPSI, You mentioned your driver read 5 and 5 using the cruise control switiches. In Cat's manuals code 55 = No deteced Faults.
tk40176 Thanks this. -

Sound like it may be some sort of ECM or display fault, the three digit number tells you the component or system (called Component identifier or CID), and the two digit number tells you whats wrong with the component (called Failure mode identifier or FMI) but all of those you have listed do not make sense for your engine... eg. 175-05 would be engine oil temp open circuit as 175 is engine oil temp sensor and -05 is open circuit or current low. the others are hard to figure out but I dont think they belong with a truck engine.
135 is left steering manifold, the others are not listed by cat at all.
-00 is data valid but above normal limit
-02 data incorrect or intermittent
-05 current low (open circuit)
-12 bad device or component, bad signal -
