It's considered a comedy now. Even funnier that when it was made, it genuinely scared some people out of their wits.

I don't mind reefers, even the loud ones. But one day I woke up to this awful drone going on in my ears, I sat up and it went away, layed backed down and it started up again. Turned out there was another truck with nice sounding exhaust that was causing it. It was just in that 1 foot area that my head was at that had an annoying drumming sound. The only time I went and parked somewhere else.
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
You can use Hearos Extreme ear plugs. They are soft and the most effective foam earplugs since my favorite AO Safety Sleep/Rest ear plugs were discontinued. I think I only have maybe a dozen packages of the 24 count plugs left. That should about last me until retirement. BTW, the Hearos Xtreme Protection and the Hearos Ultimate Softness are the same plug in different colors. They are both equally soft and have the same Noise.Reduction.Rating. They are also available at Walmart, usually in the pharmacy area.
Stay away from the E-A-R brand foam ear plugs that look like little foam cylinders and have the sandpaper texture on the sides. In their infinite wisdom they made the ends which don't touch your ear canal soft and smooth while giving the sides that do touch your ear canal a rough texture. -
The ones that get to me are the trucks whose air pump pops off every three minutes, how the driver can stand that is beyond me.
Dsaltg and Trucker61016 Thank this. -
How can that be? The movie was filmed in 1936.
