Hello
Not too long ago I changed from hi mount 5309 to stinger cx7 set up. The problem I'm having is when I back in for example 2013 Toyota Camry into the #7 or # 8 position, the bottom of the car hits in the center when going over axles. It hits the deck that is folded over the axle, it hits the center of the deck where sliding mechanism for the deck, Any one has this problem,

Are you loading with the belly dropped?
-
I raise the decks in bely as high as I can so they flat. It hits when going over " first hill" back wheels are still on the deck over axles and the front ones are on the about to go on the top of axle.

It hits this.

If your back bottom deck slides then slide it closer to the shotgun deck and keep the flippers a couple inches higher than where they are in the picture. I also keep the belly deck up a couple inches higher than the shotgun deck by lowering the front end of that deck. You could carry some 2x10”s about a foot long to ease with the transition if the back bottom deck doesn’t slide.Last edited: Aug 4, 2018
Unk, brian991219, Hammer166 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I have the very same training and have experienced the same problem. Finally figured out, raise your 17, 18, and 19 up virtually to the same level of your tandems and also flip forward the flippers over #20. I think you’ll be a whole lot happier!

Oh sorry, misunderstood. Raise 24 up a couple inches above where it would naturally lay. That solved my problem.

The deck behind axle don’t move. Only the end slides out.

First I would try keeping the shotgun deck slid nearer to the belly deck, I leave only a couple inch gap between it and the belly deck. Raise the belly deck a couple inches higher than the shotgun deck, by lowering the other end.
If this doesn’t stop it then I would use 2X10”s. Place them at the edge of your shotgun deck with the flipper resting on them.BigBob410 Thanks this. -
I'm not familiar with enough with the CX-7 to know how the belly is set up, but on the high rails, I always supported the belly with the shotgun. There was just too much deck behind that rear cylinder.BigBob410, sxdime, Banker and 1 other person Thank this.
