I thought about that. I'm gonna stick with my carabiner for now. The latch spring on my old one broke a while back and I never got a new carabiner. So I'm gonna go with past luck for now and use this guy. It's almost impossible to lose. As long as I keep it on me, which I always do, I'm set for at least 10-15 years til I have to replace it![]()

Well I'm broke down at a rest area on 39 in Illinois. I hope y'all are having a better weekend than me.
On a triangle run, too. -
Well at least you picked a decent rest area.

Hey, I just had an idea. If you get bored while you are waiting on road service @Steelersjunkie said he left one of his spare truck keys OUTSIDE the truck... Maybe he left it outside someplace there.
You could go out and walk around and look and see if you can find it. This could be like our own version of an Easter Egg Hunt.. where did @Steelersjunkie leave the key. Every time any of us stops we will get out and dedicate ourselves to trying to find this key.
I'm such an #######... I know.Steelersjunkie and BazookaJoe Thank this. -

I meant that I'm going to place one of my plethora of spare keys on the outside of my truck. Although, I'm debating that still.

Y'all are looking at one ecstatic trucker. After months of trying to find a good dedicated run, I finally found one. And completely by accident. It is for sure not without flaws, but it's a marvelous triangle. Bye bye load board. Zero east coast, zero major mountains. No Chicago, no tolls, no nuthin'. Life is beautiful. And this triangle will keep me in the south for about half the time which will be AWESOME in the winter. This, my friends, is everything I ever wanted when I started this journey. I may very well find something better at some point either here on another run, or for a small private company. But for now, I've reached the top of my personal mountain. So I guess this is kinda the end of my journey. Thanks to all of you who followed along and kept me company along the way. I'm not going anywhere but I don't really have much more I can report as far as progress. Man this is awesome. When I talk about good things it's almost inevitable that I'll get a flat or something. But so be it. I'm happy as a clam and I hope life is finding y'all well. I'm not gonna say check your pins anymore. Check everything. Truckers are a holes and will mess with you when you aren't looking. Believe that. Again, I'm not going anywhere, but I kinda feel like I've reached the end of a long trip and I'm finally home. Love y'all, and be well.
JoshG210, BazookaJoe, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Based on the PM I just got I need to clarify my post. I'm not leaving TTR or this thread. Just celebrating my situation. I'm still here for anyone that wants anything. I promised Reid in HR that I'd make myself available anytime he or any driver/perspective driver asked. That's a promise I'll never break. Believe that.
taodnt Thanks this.
