^ ha not in Cleveland. This place is THE #### hole of the US.

I had a talk with a 80 year old Asian woman the other day when I was downtown. All the buses and trains had stopped running and she was stranded at a train station until 4am and no phone! The Cleveland Police talked to her and left here there! WTF!!!???? RTA police never even came around.

Thank God a girl going home from work saw her walking (a old lady at 4am better stand out, right!?) and stepped up and approached her and then gave her a ride home!

Listen man....you, me, the people we care about.....we are on our own in real life. The city cops (that should not even be allowed near a gun!!) will AT BEST show up and draw a line around your body (probably in crayon because the city is broke and bankrupt) and then MAYBE just MAYBE someone will figure out who killed you and then that person MIGHT get a few years in prison.

From my point of view, in my city, this world is nasty and now we can never ever get back to where we were.

Waaaaaaaaaay to much scum, filth, dirtbags, dependent creatures (all colors) to ever ever get back to suits and ties and top hats in our cities.

    06driver Thanks this.

I've had exactly one cop that was out of line, and that was in a 4 wheeler outside of Fernley, NV. He decided I fit the profile of a drug vehicle coming out of California, and he darn near ran me off the road (deputy). I am still steamed about that.

Commercially, because we haul live fish at over 80K weights, we have a "pcik me, pick me" sign on the trucks. If it's not the scales, it's the troopers, and if not them, it's the fish cops or the border agents. I learned REAL.quick that the folks at the scales especially are bored and tired of dealing with Billy Big Rigger.

A couple of years ago I was running with a trainee and got pulled in to the scale on 82 in WA. She was half in panic mode half expecting to get arrested. After I walked in, greeted the officer, I asked what made me so interesting tonight, he said he just needed one more truck before 10 PM. So much for keeping your dash clean.... Anyway, it's 10 PM, and we get to talking about the load, and comparing all the guys that come across the scale with live fish, and their rigs.

10 minutes later, he's looked at the cab crd and the log books, we've talked about all the guys in the industry and their quirks, and I have a clean level III inspecdtion. Plus I got to stretch my legs.

The trainee couldn't figure out what happened., but all it was was a conversation between two people. Making that personal connection makes things go so much smoother.
