I doubt they will go under i heard (not sure how true it is) that the Mormon church had there hands in there if they do and they want it to stay open it will stay open.
GAPrincess Thanks this. -
Wow you learn something new everyday! I wasn't aware it had anything to do with the Mormon church until I googled it just now. No wonder that church is so rich, between that and Ramada! Though it seems that technically the Mormon church does not own Flying J. The company is owned by a family which is a member of the church. Since most if not all Mormons tithe 10% the church probably makes a nice profit from Flying J.

Flying J is also closing their refinery in california, which accounts for 6% of the disiel sold in california. So far no buyers for the refinery, due to californias green laws.
Flying J is just reorganizing, and will come out the other side, still charging too much for everything, and wanting to charge for every service they provide. -
He made an honest mistake, at least. Who knew oil prices would drop this much? We all knew it'd go down a little for the election. They had to file Chapter 11 or they'd go bankrupt. WOW, that last sentence kinda makes sense.
I don't know the man, but if I worked for him, I'd drag him back to work. Flying J's are a good clean truckstop and I think this man is the reason why. -
the j in st. george utah is the worst one i have ever been to! the people there are rude and mean! they dont trust anyone! they wont let you use your flying j card to turn the pump on unless you go inside and show your ID. even if your paying by credit card. after you have the pump turned on, they send someone outside to write your lic. plates down. i will never use that one again!!
Big Don Thanks this. -
That's probably cause they had too much fuel stole from them. Why else would they pay someone to write down your license number? For a tax writeoff? To see who can find the most out of state plates? License plate number poker?
Thank your fellow truck drivers stealing their fuel for this inconvenience
