I was told last year that if the passenger is under 18 you need a year there with no tickets or accidents to be able to take them. I am going to find out for sure in a few days.
NightLight Thanks this. -
Max 2 people in a truck therefore if a team no passengers.
Under 18 must be your child (legal guardianship I think is O.K.) or grand child.
There is a passenger approval form to fill out and get approved by corporate for every passenger -- good for a calendar year. If you are taking somebody along say Christmas/Solstice through first week of Jan you need to do 2 approvals... form can take a few business days to get approved.CorsairFanboy and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Thanks

There’s an age minimum as well. I’m pretty sure it’s 10 years old
-
I got an authorization for my son. (minor) It only took a day to get the form sent and filled out, returned to them and the final form sent back to me. Quick and easy.

I thought you had to own your own truck to drive for land star. If that’s the case why do you need approval?
-
1 kid. Gotta be 10 or 12.
I've seen a Volvo with 3 in it.
Don't ask, don't tell.
But if something should happen, everyone will crucify you.CorsairFanboy Thanks this. -
I'm sure they and their insurance companies want nothing to do with paying out on aiding and abetting a pedophile or injuries from to many occupants in the truck......the yankee and oicu812 Thank this. -
They let you take your children as long as they aren't real young. Can't remember off hand the minimum age. If it is an adult, you just have to register them and buy the passenger insurance. Pretty standard. It is a gov regulation that you have to have written permission from a carrier you are permanently leased to for a passenger.
