I've heard between $150 to $200,not sure, when I drove buses I got $180-$200 + money if I pulled a trailer + overdrives. When I was on OzzFest, I had a couple of $1000 days. Plus you also get money for servicing the generator, doing bus laundry.

Understand, the entertainment business is big business, but a small family, if you have a good rep, you'll do fine, get a bad rep and everyone will know and you'll be back to hauling containers pretty quick. I workd in the business form '98 to '08 and nver filled out an app. would just let a few people know if I wanted to do something different and it wouldn't take long and I'd be doing it.

MrChuck, Thanks for asking about this. I'm interested myself and have contacted Roadshow services. Just waiting on a response. We have a Bandit lites in my town so it sounded promising when I spoke to the lead driver. probably the wrong time of the year to start a new tour .

Can't help as far as pay but I do know my uncle used to drive the (a?) show truck for Triumph Motorcycles. He enjoyed his time with them. Only reason he quit was to drive local.

I have driven a Coach in the Entertainment industry since 1986 for Bands,Crews and Stars and have enjoyed every minute of it. If you like being gone and living in a suitcase and hotel room you will be fine!!! In the early days of my career i used to be gone 300 plus days,Was the money good I dont know I made anywhere from $60,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year depending. This was all in and included my driver salary, overdrives, weekly coach services, linens, coach washes and anything else I was due to be reimbursed for. Some salary jobs are $500.00 per week, some are $800.00 per week, some are $1,000.00 per week salary and then there is day pay which is all I ever did. When I started it was $75.00 per day(LOL) now its $300.00 per day(my rate) but when you didvide that into 24 hours its $12.50 per hour,NOT that great when you look at it that way!!!!! You have to be a smooth driver with no bad habits, you have to get your sleep and NOT hang around shows and at venues and in hotel lobbys!!! YOU ARE NOT THE STAR OR PART OF THE BAND,YOU ARE A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT THERE TO DO A JOB AND IF YOU CANT DO IT YOU WILL BE REPLACED!!!!! You have to be a self starter and be capable of doing things on your own and be able to function by yourself and adjust to being by yourself as you are sleeping when your people are doing there job and they are sleeping when you are doing your job!!!!! If you are a baby or a whiner or a poser you may as well not apply as you will be found out quick and fired!!! You need to be a mechanic, tour guide, plumber, maid, therapist, assistant and a dozen other things to fit in on the road!!!! If you are STAR STRUCK and want to hang with the band,Dont Apply they have plenty of people to hang with already and most are a lot prettier than you!!!! I started doing it because of the Coach I got to drive and the places I would get to see, then the money started piling up and I stayed!!!! I wouldnt trade my career for anything as I have enjoyed every minute of it,you just have to learn your place and stay in it!!! Be preparred for long nights with NO EXCUSE GOOD ENOUGH for not being at the next venue on time!!!! Some tours you work mid week thru the weekend, some tours you do shows all during the week,It just depends on routing,The one good thing about it is you get paid from the time you leave home until you return home,If you have a day off on the road you still get paid!!! That is the side of it from Coach driving,The truck driving side is a little different,But the gone time and driving and rules are the same, just the pay is a little different from what I hear!!! I wouldnt leave home for the amount of money some truck drivers have told me they were making,Thats just me!!!

Roadshow was the worst job I ever had. Try Upstaging instead anyone but Roadshow.
