Unfortunately all company hands tend to get lumped in with the morons who commit such stupidity as decapitating trailers on the Hutchinson River Pkwy in New York.
The ones who feel that way aren’t worth the sweat off my ###, and I have zero problem telling them so.Suspect Zero and Steelersjunkie Thank this. -
I agree 100% I hate that there is a stigma on the term "company driver". We all do the same job. If you do it well, you have my respect. We all take the same risks. If you negotiate them well, you have my respect. If you see a driver that needs help and you give it to them, you have my respect. Doesn't matter where you work. We are all one tribe. I think that's what separates "old school" from "newbies". Old school just means having the mentality of recognizing we are in this together. We have to be that way. To quote Wesley Snipes from White Men Can't Jump... If I don't look out for my people, who will?JoshG210, Suspect Zero and MACK E-6 Thank this.

Everybody needs somebody to look down on, and I think that for many O/Os, that "somebody" is the "lowly" company driver. You can tell that there's a lot of these guys out here that are complete failures at every single aspect of their life other than their truck driving career. There's a lot of losers out here with an unwarranted sense of self-importance. They act like children and I treat them as such. I'm sure they'd love to know that the person talking to them like they're they a child on the CB is a rookie driver.
Yep. Making friends everywhere I go.JOHNQPUBLIC, MACK E-6, dwells40 and 2 others Thank this. -
No matter what you remember from anything I've ever said, remember this. I know where I came from. And I am thankful for that opportunity. I never forget it. I love every lesson I learned, every bad run, and every good run. I miss feeling part of a family. I have an orange moose sitting on my dash to remind me every day of BRF and where I started. If you feel like I'm talking trash, feel free to call me out. I'll welcome the due criticism. I'll help anyone that asks. If I've said anything inappropriate, I apologize, it was unintentional and misinterpreted.MACK E-6 Thanks this.
