I would talk to the hotel first, there is one I stay at in Grand Junction, Co. that allows HAZMAT without issue, except explosives. Anything placarded 1.?? is prohibited by City ordinance and the cops will order you off. There is another one I stay at in Montrose that does not allow any HAZMAT at all. It varies by hotel and City ordinance.

Let's read it again .
Note it says " which is located on a public street or highway, or the shoulder of a public highway, must be attended by its driver " Parking lots are not public . It also says a vehicle is attended when " not in a sleeper berth " .
So sleeping in the truck or sleeping at all isn't attending it but attending hazmat other than Class 1 on private property isn't required .Lepton1 and double yellow Thank this. -
I have a neighbor parking a placard semi 5 ft from county road that is loaded and unloaded at times with nobody around can he do this legally?
