We've supplied multiple harness packages to Fitz as well as HTC to build Cascadia Gliders with DDEC IV. The DDEC IV is the only platform that is currently available for the Cascadia. The CAT and Cummins engine harness choices for the Cascadia have already been designed and currently in prototyping. By the 4th Quarter of this year you will see both Fitzgerald as well as HTC producing a lot of Cascadia Gliders.

A glider is legally defined as "truck equipment" when first delivered from the truck factory. Its NOT a vehicle chassis because there is no drive train. Its simply a piece of equipment, like a crane or dump bed or a cargo box or a lift gate. Its equipment that the purchaser will incorporate into a final product either for use or for resale. Only when the glider has been outfitted with a drive-train for its use on public roads will it need to be presented to proper authorities by which its given a "classification" which regulates how its used and how the operator is licensed. Because virtually all gliders are made into Class 8 commercial trucks which are federally regulated, federal regulations dictate the qualifications which are allowed for the drive-train as well as how many glider kits it will allow to be newly placed into service. The number of new units per year is very limited, around 1500 or less I believe. The drive-train regulations require that of the three drive-train components - Engine, Transmission, and Rears - at least two must come from the same original vehicle they were built with when new, as evidenced by their S/N's placement on the original truck's id plate and documented/certified as true by the drive-train supplier. Companies such as Fitzgerald make gliders into trucks for resale and are usually who get the bulk of the permitted build allotments. This info is good through the end of 2019

EPA changed their mind. They are back to 300 per year limit. Some autistic enviromentalist gave money to supreme court which suspend epa's action on appealing obama era ####.
