Well... it does sound kinda sexist, but everyone to his/her own opinion. And like I've said a thousand times, opinions are like azzz holes, everyone has one.
Now that we have that behind us, can I just ask you why you think that way? Just a bit curious about your statement. You must have some logic or justification for making that statement. Did a lady driver run over your toes or just step on them? Anyway, would you mind sharing your thoughts on why women shouldn't drive trucks?
Oh, here's something that I think you can understand... If it hadn't been for women leaving the house and the office and doing jobs that weren't "traditional" during WWII, a lot of jobs wouldn't have gotten done.
But, Lead, I digress, I can't wait to see your response...
Thanking you in advance for your thoughts.

While you are entitled to your opinion, I am also entitled to mine.
The only reason any man would have that opinion is simply because he is afraid us "girls" can out drive him. -

knew i was gonna catch hell for that response, what i meant was if your scared, or wanna park in the firelane cause you dont wanna get raped walking across the parking lot, or have a big stinking dog on your truck with you for protection, stay home!!! not that a woman cant do the job, hell a monkey can do the job.. alot of em do. bottom line here is..... its a job!! your away from home , the hours suck, you gotta put up with alot of bs. BUT if you wanna be on your own , do your own thing, be your own boss. then you may make it.. but if you wanna be home, 9 - 5 ,family friends, wife, kids.. whatever.. than STAY HOME!! this job isnt for everyone, but if you really wanna do it.. then turn the c b off, computer, phone, AND drive!!!!! bank your money, eat cheap, stay outta the truck stops, dont turn down loads.. then maybe, maybe... sometime in the future you will have enough put back to sit back and enjoy it before you die alone and miserable.. thats just the way it is..... happy trails.

LOL,I guess i can see how your comment could get everyone's ''feelings'' hurt...lol,lol..But you are so right on this..Its not a cushie, comfy job.The hours are hell and you actually don't have any life at all.Your wife is alone and seeking attention outside of you, your kids are seeking another daddy figure and you are stuck in a parking lot somewhere between memphis and L.A...
Your body takes a beating and you tend to eat bad and get real big and fat.Your teeth rot and your crack starts to stink after 2 days without a shower. You have no ''solid'' friendships while on road and you start to seek ''attention'' from strangers also.Just like your wife and kids do.The job is hell and the ''workloads'' can be to demanding.yes it is hell at times being a trucker.
Although people of today want it to be comfy and cushy. It must be we have raised our ''new generation'' to be very soft and we aim to comfort. We have raised are new generation to be very ''spoiled'' in many ways and they take this attitude to the ''trucking'' world and tend to cry alot.I hear it everyday out here.
Trucking in many ways is quite the oppisite. It's very demanding on your body, mind and even your spirit at times. It will tear you down like i have seen it tear people down for many many years now.It will destroy a good relationship and a happy family.I have watched this business take down and tear people's life apart.
Yes you are correct. Its not for ''everyone''..But many will not ''own'' that and except that it is not for them.So they ride it out being ''unhappy'' and ''miserable'' and make everyone else's life miserable around them...
happy trails...

You got that right. I teamed in a single bunk cabover and since I was the second seater I got to crank that pig up every morning but we hot bunked it and got a hotel if the layover was over 8 hours so I never had to sleep on the dog house much.
