I'm brand new at driving a cargo van. Been sitting at a truck stop for 9 days. Made a delivery and have been sitting ever since. Is 9 days normal??

Yes. You will be there for months on end. Eventually you will give up and go home.

Haha! I don't know. New, as I said. I wouldn't want to get fired. But I just felt that it was odd to go this long without making any money.

Better check the obituaries. May you died and don’t know it. On the lighter side, search ‘lost and found’. You just never know.

If I sit more than 12 hours between empty and loaded, I think the world has ended. But 9 out of 10 times I go into a receiver, I go in with a reload plan already in the system. You’re obviously driving an old wore out truck with no note payment due and the production of that truck and your well being is way down on the owner’s list of priorities.

Does your boss expect you to keep the truck moving?

Maj. Jackhole and McDonnell Thank this.
