Buying A Truck....

I say, I will continue to read the posts on this forum and continue to get the great opinions and knowledge from the experiences and new drivers alike. I plan on becoming an I/C in about 1.5 to 2 years and i am sure by then I will have all the skills and knowledge I need to be successful. B&T, please keep us informed of your progress, weather it be bad or good, you will be a great source for market analysis and the same for you emo...

SO FAR I AM VERY LUCKY MAN..I SOLD OUT AND I WAS ABLE TO FIND AN O/O TO TAKE OVER MY DEDICATED RUN.I WILL BE USING HIS TRUCK TO DO THE RUN AND HE WILL BE THE O/O

SO I WAS ABLE TO SELL TRUCK AND KEEP DEDICATED CUSTOMER

 

This just raises so many questions though. Same work, different truck and different owner. So.. you're getting less than you did before? Wait.. how is this going to work better? You respect this guy or think he's an idiot for doing what you won't do??? Just don't care?

YES,I sold truck right...but

I am still a qualified ''driver'' for landstar.....

So before i sold truck i was trying to hussle ''other'' o/o's into keeping the dedicated run and putting there truck on it..

I got so #### lucky..lol...Got a call yesterday and he confirmed he will take the dedicated run and we were able to get a 7 month contract on that run...

So i helped him and he helped me..

So i will be running my old run from kc to tx once a week m-f..

If i could not find any other ''landstar'' drivers to do it i would of lost all of it and i am sure another o/o would of snatched the run..

No i just want to have no obligation to a ''truck'' so he can have the headache..lol,lol

I am just going to drive and take care the equipmant and collect on a 1099 for the next 7 months.After that i will see how things are with this customer we got and take it from there.

When i did the run after all expences i made 1,200 net.....He is going to pay me 900.00 a week for the run.

So he is making 300.00 weekly off me for doing nothing...

 

Well, guys, I was looking for an old truck to practice on and think I found one, its a Repo and goes "as is" but for the money, I think I might get it. Yippeeeeeee
