Another truck stop removes sit down restaurant

I'm moving away from the big chain truck stops myself. I'm a fan of one particular fast food chain when I'm in a hurry and need to get in and out. I order the same thing every time. Well, I stopped in at a TA in NJ that happened to have this fast food restaurant inside. I thought they got my order wrong when they told me it was going to be $13. I usually pay $5.50. They didn't get it wrong. I told them to keep it.

 

Well, they can't hire and retain wait staff when those Truckers who run the Nation take up a booth for 3 hours and leave a huge mess and a $1 tip.

 

Don't even think about getting something to eat when the Greyhound pulls in.

 

Well I'm not surprised, a lot these places are pricing themselves out of business.
Don't get me wrong , I don't mind paying a little extra if the food is good , but when a simple breakfast
( eggs , meat , toast and taters )
Comes to 9.71 its ridiculous as I just experienced the other day at petro monee, il.

Maybe the owners got tired of seeing everyone walk over to the barbque place instead of going into his restaurant so he decided to put in fast food to try to get the truckers parking for free in his lot to buy something from him.

 

The Lebec,CA flying hook has been raised to just two or three walls.


Guess LA county said you can't demo entire building.

 

It's remodel if you leave one wall standing. If you tear all down you have to permit for new construction.

 

Yep i think the ceo should have to go live in a truck and pull in to fast food every day night i do not buy food at those places. I look for cracker barrel that i can get close to for a meal
