No. I didn't. I just don't think the OP is trying to push 2kw through their magmount.

Im not saying he is...Im just saying swr only does not mean his ant is at its best..
Its like puttin 17" wheels on a perfectly tuned 5000 hp drag race car..It will still go down the track but no where near as good as possibe....
Hell a dummy load has perfect swr but doesnt trans or rec worth a crap..

Swr is nothin more that what happens between radio and ant, doesnt mean ant is working very well...
People are stuck on swr as a sign of output performance/range of their ant..

Hell i coulda left my ant with a 1.4 swr alone and been happy..My return loss was only 15 db..I made some adjustments and tested again and discovered that the coating on my ant bracket was killing my ground but swr wasnt bad..
Changed the ant bracket and retuned now my return loss is 25db..My resistance has dropped to 55 ohms,my resonance is still off cause it should be 0 and not 6 so with grounding my resistance will drop more resonance will get #### near zero which will again help my return loss....
Again tell me swr is all that important with a barefoot radio....Swr will play a much bigger role if he were to add an amp to his radio..
