What kind do you have? Just curious.

Steelersjunkie Thanks this.

I've done that before, it happens. Always check your GPS route before you leave. You can modify your path so it's forced to go the way you want.

I usually just ignore it when I know she's taking me the way I don't want to go, like every time I go through Chicago she insists on taking me through downtown on 90 and 94 instead of 294. I just missed it this time and assumed she'd take me the same way she did before. Lesson learned.
Now I have to figure out how to fix an even weirder problem this GPS has. It didn't always do this, but half the time when I put a rest area or a service plaza in it, she tries to get me to take the exit before the rest area, and then tries to navigate me in through the back side to it, which of course doesn't work. -
Ahhh nice ill prob be stopping there tomorrow. You get some bbq?? Im getting ready to throw couple new york strips on the grill with some asparagus and lobster mac n chz....gotta impress my date haha. Oh and some Blue Moon mango wheats. Should be good night

Nope, no bbq. Never been a fan. I went to the Mexican place across from Roady's.

I just passed the Burleson terminal about an hour ago. Y'all have no idea how sad I am that I won't be staying there for the night
I'm trying out a few new places in the area since I may be coming here a lot. Could've made it to the J in Waco (which I love) but I'm checking out some of the mom and pop places. Definitely coming back to this place. Not the nicest place I've ever seen, but it's serviceable. Has laundry and showers, guaranteed to be quiet tonight. Hallelujah. Oh... and a bar right behind the store. Barley pops, then laundry, then shower. Lovin' life. Hope y'all are doing well.

I saw a whole bunch of places on 30 that I would like to check out. Also there's a barbecue place right next to the Love's in Van, TX (the older one) that had some pretty good smelling 'cue going on while I was there getting my trailer fixed the other day. If it hadn't been 8 in the morning I would have checked it out.
Which place are you checking out? I would rather give my money to mom and pop places as long as they don't suck.
I love cajun food, so a search for truck stops with cajun food in Louisiana produced the Tallujah Truck Stop. That place was a disappointment. If anybody else has any recs for cajun along I20, send em my way.
Have any of you guys been in this tiny little bar next to the Albany terminal? What's it like?Steelersjunkie Thanks this. -
Last question first. Yes, I've been to the bar by Albany several times. Nice people. Not open every day, check Google for hours. No frills but good people. I will generally not stop at mom and pop places unless it serves a specific need. This place serves all three. I need to do laundry (I'm completely out), I need a shower, and I definitely need a beer. It's been a very rough couple days and the next 7 will be no different.
